Friday 5

Last Friday we hit the snow... since I was unplugged no Friday 5 went up... I can catch-up today ;o)

1. We had an amazing time in the snow. We arrived at the cabin on Friday and didn't leave till Monday afternoon. It was great to be with family. It was great to have amazing weather. It was great to simply be in a beautiful place and re-connect.

2. We are continuing to have a rough time with my son's teacher. She had the nerve to call my husband at work instead of speaking with me. I could go on for a long time about how frustrated I am with the way she treats my son but I will save that for a full day post.

3. We tried the new 1/2 gallon ice cream "Drumsticks" it was heaven you should really try it!!!

4. I finally received the last of my Christmas scrapbooking supplies so I can finish my December Daily Album.

5. I made the best Chicken Pot Pie the last few nights.... thanks to a dear friend for her easy recipe. 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup frozen veggies, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1 or 2 pie dough, 2 chicken breast pre-cooked. I boiled the chicken & then cut it up. Threw everything into a bowl & mixed it up, poured it into a pie pan, set the oven at 350. Finally I put the pie dough over everything and brushed it with a bit of egg white. Baked for 45-60 min. Enjoy!!!!

Friday 5

1. I think I'm on my way to joining the gym. A friend gave me a 30 day pass, to "activate it" you have to join the gym for $10.00 then at the end of 30 days I can cancel in writing if I want. I went 3 days this week, 2 with friends & 1 by myself. I took pilates classes and LOVED them. I'm looking forward to more classes and new beginnings.

2. My son had a rough week back to school. He had 3 yucky days. I really wish his teacher wasn't so hard on him. The first time he yelled out an answer (the correct one I might add) during math... which got him detention!! The 2nd day he was helping put the lunch box back after the bell.... and today he couldn't be quiet in music.... he lost his playdate and special snack afterschool. My fingers are crossed for a good next week.

3. My poor hubby has had to work soooo much lately!!! I'm missing him!!!!

4. I want to commit to some "assignments" this year.
the first is 52 new
the 2nd is taking a photo once a month of my family of 4
Working out at least 4 days a week
Planning my meals each sunday & maybe making sunday soup day

5. I need to get going on our camping for this year... hummm so many places to go and so little time.
Maybe the redwoods

TGIF let the weekend begin!!!!!

Tuesday's Ten is only Seven this week...

1. Spent the weekend buying our first BIG screen T.V. the first in about 15 years!!! Cable guy comes next weekend to install all the bells and whistles. So fun!!!

2. Had an amazing trip in LA with friends!!! Disneyland with no kids was awesome. No little mouths to feed, to listen to arguing, & no crying!!! Lines were great... we rode everything a bunch of times. Watching Ellen was sooo fun but exhausting. We jumped and screamed more than I have in years. She had Demi Morre & Michael Buble on the show. We came home with Demi's perfume Wanted & Michael's new CD Crazy Love When we watched the show on Wed. we saw ourselves for about 10 seconds. It wasn't about the air time but rather the whole experience. It was a once in a life time little adventure with my girl friends.

3. My Daughter is obsessed with tea parties!!! We have at least 2 a day.... moving up slowly to real food and water. She is getting to old to pretend she informed us the other day.

4. Buddy had his Blue and Gold ceremony with Cub Scouts. He received his bobcat badge and a new slide for his tie. He was very proud of himself. He is becoming such a grown-up little boy. Making good choices and understanding why we do things. Some of his friends played with legos while other people where getting their awards... We asked him to not play, at first he was mad at us... but soon realized that it wasn't polite to play while the other's got their awards. He is growing up so fast.

5. T-Ball & Baseball practice started last week. Both kids are doing so well, this season is going to be so good. Our two are enjoying it, working hard, and excited to participate. I'm so happy they have found something they both enjoy. They practice together and cheer each other on.

6. Planning Buddies 8th Birthday. The last two years he just wanted a pizza party. This time we are heading to the movies to see "How to train your Dragon" in 3D. Found party supplies on-line, Bought each child the book as their party favor, and I'm going to make the invitations look like small movie reels. So fun to plan a Birthday around a theme he loves.

7. I can't seem to get enough of lady gaga & p!nk lately ;o) They get me moving and I can actually accomplish something. I love music that makes you move!!!!

Ten on Tuesday

I know it is wed. but I'm getting a 10 in this week if it kills me ;o)

1. Missy and I shared a wonderful afternoon on Sunday shopping and doing girly things. I was so proud walking round holding my little girls hand. She was tickled with her purchase from build a bear store. She carried her bag so proud, purchasing an adorable lady bug out fit for her bear, and harry potter glasses for her brother. I told her they had to come out of her piggy bank, she didn't care. I won't tell her I never took the money out.

2. Hubby and I got the official OK to plan our once in a life time Hawaii trip. I'm soo not going to get my hopes up just yet.... but we are so close to actually putting money on this one. It will be hard to leave the kids but they will be just fine. Now to find a spot for the dog...

3. 5 days and I will be in LA!!!! OMG I can't believe I'm going to see Ellen, AND Disneyland without my kiddos in tow. It will be an adventure for sure.

4. Bummbed that I'm going to miss my son's "teaching" presentation next week..... He is going to teach the class how to Geocaching.... He is so excited. I can't wait to see the video. We picked up little compasses for each kid.

5. The kids are ready to play ball... All signed-up for Baseball/T-ball. I hope we get the coaches we want and can keep our buddies.

6. Tomorrow is the 100th Day of School. It will be an adventure to count everything with all the kids. I'm excited to see all their projects. Missy did a heart with 100 pompoms on it. It turned out pretty cute... and it was her idea.

7. A friend and I made 65 Gingerbread houses out of graham crackers for the 3 kinder classes. I don't get why it is that other parents never step in to help. So many parents think things just happen, or expect the teachers to do ALL the work. What ever happened to the whole process of a community raising children....

8. I can't stand the feeling I get every time I hear the Air Raid Siren go off on the first Wed. of every month at 11.... It is such an yucky feeling. A quick reminder of the past and what could come.

9. Sad that our Tahoe trip go cancelled for us.... it is understandable but still not happy about it. So we just need to come up with another adventure in its place. The kids didn't get to play in the snow last year.... so I want to make sure they can this year.

10. Feeling very lucky to have good friends around me willing to help when needed. Lucky to have my children learning the difference between good friends and bad friends. Happy they are making good choices. Missy has chosen some great little girls to be friends with. Buddy is getting there... he likes to get into mischief but he is learning from his mistakes. He has a great little friend who he can share many of his adventures with.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Spent the afternoon today playing Hulabaloo with Missy. Every time she didn't win she said "Oh Man; Cheese and Butter". Not sure where that came from but it was cute.

2. Hubby is once again off on training... only for a week this time ;o)

3. We have our first night away from both kids this coming weekend. It will be the first time since our youngest was born, 5 1/2 years, that we get a night out by ourselves. We are heading to an adult only party. Catered food, bowling, karaoke, and cake it should be a nice night. It is the trial run for my mom, so she can see if she can take them for a week.

4. Knitting Cats for "Community Concern for Cats". We are hoping to participate in the Disney "give a day get a day" program. 2 cats down and 2 ta go.

5. Heading out on a field trip to a local pizza parlor tomorrow with Missy's class. Kinda weird, she hates pizza and isn't even going to eat the one she makes.

6.Exactly 2 weeks from today I will be a a live taping of "The Ellen Show." So excited for a road trip! My girlfriends have been trying for a few years to get tickets. Then one day they both got called and both got 2 tickets, so four of us get to embark on the adventure.

7. Finished my infinity scarf this week.... very happy with the results.

8. Got Buddies results back from his star testing, he went from a 2.3 reading level to a 3.2. We are so proud of him. He seems to love reading all of a sudden. & we had Missy's assessment yesterday, they are going to try her in a first grade reading group once a week. She is well above Kindergarden levels when it comes to reading. We hope to keep her working hard.

9. I can't believe my boy is going to be 8 in a matter of a month!!!!

10. Made yummy Minestrone soup from scratch the other day. It was perfect!!!!

"I have a little brain... with lots of smart stuff in it!!" as declared by my 5 year old today. She is so right!!!!

2010 - Word

It is that time of year again to choose a word for inspiration, goal setting, and simple living. This years word isn't to far different then previous ones.
2007 Was "Embrace" I wanted to live life in the here and now ;o)
2008 Was "Accountable" I wanted to feel more responsible for me and who, what I was to those around me.
2009 Was "Progress" I wanted to keep moving forward and learn to deal with Change more positively. Show my children that change was a natural progression of life and moving with it was far better than working against it. I think I did pretty good at accomplishing that goal. I was lucky that we didn't have really any life changing experiences except for the start of Kindergarden for Missy. I'm really mad at my self for falling of the blog-wagon and failing to post since last August. Well back to my words...

This year I have chosen "Healthy"... It isn't just for me but my whole family. We need to be healthy, active and connect family. I think working on being healthy isn't just about food, and exercise, but relationships too.

I want a healthy relationship among my family.
I want to eat healthy foods.
I want to exercise, making our bodies healthy.
I want to have routine, creating a healthy household.
I want to be mentally, and intellectually healthy.

I'm excited for 2010 to begin, a new decade... one that will define our children. This will be the decade they associate with. They will be called Children of the 2010s... like I was a child of the 80's It will be a good year I can feel it!!!

36 and counting...

So I'm officially 36 now ;o) My Birthday came last Friday with a day long celebration in the city. It was nice!!! My friends showered me with lovely gifts in the early morning, gift cards a book and some love!! Then we hit the city running,
* We made a potty break at the Maritime Museum and got our first bay area stamp in our passports...
* We rode the Cable Cars all over town
* Hit the Cable Car Museum... and did a Geo Cache while there.
* Hung out at the Fairmont Hotel... I was very sad to learn they closed the best elivator ever!! You could ride up and get a great view of the city... but no more.
* Then we hopped back on the now hot Cable Cars heading back to the wharf.
* After yummy Ice Cream in Ghirardelli Square we headed to...
* the SF Fire Museum, where the kids rang bells and whistles.
* Then we hit the Persido for more passport stamps and a Geo Cache.
* Off to Fort Point only to discover they closed at 5 ;o( but they let us stamp our passports quickly
* Back to Fisherman's Wharf for a yummy dinner at "Wipe Out"

It was a great family day doing all kinds of little things I have wanted to do here and there.... we will head back to Fort Point though the kids are gonna love it.

I have decided I don't do it "ALL" and neither does anyone else...

There are so many things I would like to say I do but I don't... so many things that I do that I wish I didn't... and still so many things yet to be done. So what do you do??

So many things I would like to say I do but I don't
- I don't always get the wash put away instantly
- I don't keep a perfectly clean house ( I wish tho)
- I don't play enough with my kids.
- We don't live as "green" a life as we should be.

So many things I do that I wish I didn't....
- Laundry & toilets!! While I'm grateful and happy to have both I HATE taking care of them...
- I wish I didn't yell at my kiddos so much
- Engage in conversations I would rather not...
- Doing the things others want me to... or things I think, others want me to do.

My list of things to do is huge... but for now
- Finish enjoying this summer, school will be here in 3 weeks...
- I want to be a better photographer so very very badly... while I have the eye I can't seem to hold onto the details and the skill it just won't sink in to my little brain. And it is getting really frustrating.
- I want to start my Christmas projects so I can be done for sure by Christmas!!!

Ten on Tuesday ;o)

1. I'm addicted to Country Time Pink Lemonade for the summer...

2. Enjoyed visiting Chabot Space Center with hubby & the kids today.

3. Baked 3 loafs of Banana bread in one week....

4. Went to the Marin Headlands and cruised all over, making some new discoveries with the family.

5. This coming weekend we have a busy Saturday
- Dance class
- Birthday Party #1
- Birthday Party #2
- Missy's Dance Recital @ 2:30

6. Sold some of the kids toys and am feeling good about it. Now to finish listing all the clothes on Ebay.

7. Almost am finished with all the uniform shopping... having a tough time finding tiny clothes for Missy tho. Big brother is done, he was able to wear most of last years stuff. New shoes, new lunchbox, and a few pants.

8. One Carmel Visit, a Camping trip, and A visit to Chico will conclude our summer adventures.

9. We started soccer yesterday and Missy LOVED it. Daddy will be an assistant coach again this year. Their uniforms are bright yellow so we are "the Stingers" perfect name for a bunch of tiny bees running around a field in bunch ball rather than soccer. A good friend of ours is the coach and all but one member of our team is a close friend. It will be a cute fun season.

10. I can't seem to adjust to the fact that my little girl will be in Kindergarten in exactly 4 weeks. I'm sure I will be blogging about that in the near future!!!

Wow Missy turned 5

We had a quick Birthday party on Saturday afternoon at Black Diamond Kids Center. She wanted Little Petshop, so that is what we did. I baked a cake in the middle of all the crazy week and simply attached a few of her little pets to it, she was thrilled. Missy loved pretending she was a gymnast for a day. She so wants to try her talent at gymnastics... that will be our next step after dance class. It is hard to believe that my little girl is 5. She is growing up so fast, reading, writing, crafting, and being herself. She is turning into a little person so independent and talented.

Our Crater Lake adventure

We had an Amazing trip tp Crater Lake. SO many things to be thankful for on our trip.
* We headed up on Sunday to the KOA in Shasta... I was really nervous I haven't heard good things about KOAs but it was perfect for a one night stay. While in Shasta City we had dinner at Black Bear Diner to celebrate Missy's actual birthday. We did a bit of Geo Caching with one success and one failure. We played in the park and showered in the morning.
We visited Hedge Creek Falls, which was beautiful. The kids LOVED walking behind and touching the falls. The perfect falls to play in even if just for a moment. We searched for a cache but soon realized it was corrupted and no where to be found... good thing Daddy brought the Ipod. Once we finished exploring we hiked back up and found another cache!!!
* We made a quick little trip into Dunsmuir admiring the only working turntable in CA. My boy was in awe at it's beauty. I only wish we could have seen it working for him. The Dunsmuir station was small and nostalgic.
* Before leaving the Shasta area we stopped at the oldest working hatchery this side of Mississippi. The kids and Daddy loved exploring the grounds, and admiring all the possibilities of catching the fish. They feed the fish and watched them go crazy. The little museum had so many cool little exhibits; an original fire car, an working phone that was once on a train, and a few displays of old fishing gear. It was a great stop.
* On our way to Crater Lake we decided to stop to pick our own lavender. It was an adventure to drive up the long, steep, red rocky road. The new car was covered in a fine red dust. I'm not sure if it was worth the drive up for the whole family. I loved it. It smelled beautiful and was a gorgeous site to be seen. Shasta Mountain was far off in the back round adding to the beauty of the fields. I was the only one to pick lavender, the kids ran around and scrapped their knees. We sipped lavendar lemonade and enjoyed the view before heading back down.
* We made it to Crater Lake on Monday afternoon. We set of Camp and relaxed with family.
* On Tuesday after getting-up we headed up to actually see Crater Lake, get our Jr. Ranger goodies, and go for a hike. I simply can't describe how beautiful Crater Lake is. It is the bluest place I have ever seen. It is simply mesmerizing and amazing. After simply taking in the beauty we hiked around checking out different angles of Wizard Island, listed to a lecture about how it was formed, and ate lunch at the lodge.
* After lunch we took a short drive out to the pinnacles. We went on a short hike to see them closer. Once again they were amazing and beautiful. Our photos don't even describe how big and unique they are.
* After enjoying Crater Lake & the Pinnacles the kids went to Jr. Ranger school. We were very fortunate to have a Ranger, Ranger Don "Dog" to ourselves. He took us on a private hike teaching the kids how to use their senses while hiking.
* On Wednesday we ventured out on a hike down the Annie Creek trail, battling mosquitoes and heat. The kids did far better than I would have thought. The rest of the day was spent relaxing at camp, letting the kids play and get to know each other. It was nice to have nothing to do but play Uno a million times.
* On our last day at Crater Lake we hit a few more trails, hiking up to the highest point in the area, a fire look out. Then also hiking around the Visiter Center to see the "Lady in the woods". the views were amazing from the top of the Ranger fire look out. And the Lady in the woods was cool, carved out of a rock. But I would say the best part of the day was when the kids got sworn in as Jr. Rangers. I thought they would be handed a little card saying you passed yippy. But no, they questioned them about what they had learned, they gave each of them a Jr. Ranger badge, and silenced the entire room having them applaud the kids accomplishments. It made the kids feel good and made them accountable for what they had done, very proud indeed.
* We spent our evening p laying more games, eating smores, and saying our good byes. It was a quick week, a long trip and well worth it. The Crater was amazing to see, the kids learned a ton of things about why and what we had visited, We went on some really amazing hikes, and most importantly we spent some real quality time with family.
* On Friday we began our trek home. We drove over to Collier State Park to see the Logging Museum. Turned out to be a great stop. Then we stopped at a war memorial statue display discovering our first Geo Bug while there. We made it home at around 7 that night with no broken bones only a few mosquito bites and happy hearts after a great trip.

How could I miss my Ten on Tuesday once again...

I blogged about Michael and forgot to blog my 10... I'm just a tiny bit stressed about the next 3 days.

1* Today I'm hosting an open-playdate for Sprouts "great tuck-in" I hope we get some good donations for this great little program. We have Nancy reading a few stories and then I set up to VERY simple crafts, decorating a pair of PJ's and making a friendship bracelet/necklace out of noodles.

2* I need to grocery shop today... for camping next week. Crazy!!!

3* I need to make.... Rice Krispie treats, a cake, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and home made granola bars before Sat at 2pm.

4* I need to order Missy's cake ... I'm sad that they don't have a "cute" littlest pet shop cake any place... It would be much easier on my part to simply order a cake.

5* We are off to a new museum tomorrow and I really am hoping it is worth the drive all the way to Lodi....

6* I can't wait to spend the day in the city with my family. Every year on our Anniversary we take the kiddos on a picnic to where we got married. Well this year with camping etc. it didn't happen like we wanted it ... which made me really sad. SO we ARE going this Friday!!!! I'm only sad that it might get cut shorter than I wanted so I can go to a birthday party too....

7* We need to pack ALL of our camping stuff by Sat afternoon.... so we can head out EARLY on Sunday. I packed the kids, and I packed most of the extra goodies. The trailer is 90% set just need to do a once over and throw the food in the trailer.

8* I need to go and get a birthday present for my nephew before I forget.

9* OH and I need to clean the house for our house sitter... In the middle of all this craziness. The thing I hate doing the most cleaning and laundry... those are the things that never end.

10* We are off to the park, then to do a quick Geocache, then grocery shop then the baking begins......

Memories of Michael...

August 1958- June 2009

I just want to remember a few things....

* Today was Michael Jackson's funeral such a sad sad day.
* His Thriller Album was one of the first cassettes I owned, along with Janet Jackson (Control), Madonna (True Blue), Tiffany, Exspose, and Debbie Gibson,
* I had a GREAT book about him and his life thus far... well as far as a 5th grader should know. It came with a sparkly white glove on the cover. I wonder sometimes what happened to it.
* I remember singing his songs, watching his thriller video, and knowing that my parents didn't really like it, which made me want to listen even more.
* I had a black t-shirt that had Michael on it.
* I never saw him in concert... darn!!!
* I can't find my Bad CD
* I snatched the Dangerous one from my X-Stepfather when I moved out... that and Simon & Garfunkel.

Remembering our 4th ;o)

I don't want to forget what we did this year.....

We started our festivities on Thursday Evening at the Singing Flag. Chow-ing down on Burger King for the kiddos, KFC for the adults and plenty of cupcakes for dessert. This was the first year Sweet Pea wasn't scared of the Boom. We went with friends who had never been. Her Hubby didn't want to admit it but he had a good time. The kids got their faces painted and had balloon dogs made, which promptly got popped of course. But I think the highlight of the entire evening was as were leaving my Mom put my Niece in the wrong car. We have a NEW Honda Pilot and my mom stopped at a car a few ahead of ours and proceeded to open the door and put my niece in the car seat. We all had a good laugh but poor mom was really embarrassed.

Then on 4th of July we visited our local annual parade. My brother joined us with his daughter. We watched a million cars, and horses pass before us, while we ate yummy Kettle Korn. Daddy didn't drive in the parade this year he just patrolled the area, but it was nice because he got to come hang out with us for a change. After the parade we headed to my mom's house for a bit of pool time and BBQ. It was fun to watch the kids play and get all muddy, my son's favorite part.

We watched Fireworks with some friends.. a quick in and out. It was nice to not deal with all the crowds and be home some what early. The fireworks were great and again Sweet Pea enjoyed them from the comfort of my lap. Once we got home Little Buddy and I played with a few sparklers. The Man down our street usually set off a ton of fireworks, this year he was pretty quiet. When Daddy got home we lit our 6 ground flowers and called it a night. It was cute to watch the boys light fireworks, that is one of my favorite 4th of July memories as a kid. Playing with the sparklers, and watching Dad make the big ones go off. he would prep all day for the evenings festivities.

Hope you all had a fun and safe 4th, we did!!!!

Hello July!!!!

July sort of snuck up on us!!! Let's see what have we done in the past few weeks....

* We went on an AWESOME camping trip to Burney Falls. We met my Aunt, Uncle, 3 Cousins and their families. Even though it was super hot we made the best of it and enjoyed the whole trip. Fishing, hiking, and lots of swimming!!! I hope we make this a tradition because it was a wonderful trip. The falls were gorgeous and chilly. We also did our first geocaching, and we can't wait to discover some new treasures on future adventures.

* Last night we visited the Singing Flag. The kids had a blast, got their faces painted, and watched fireworks directly above head.

* We also started our traditional treks to Contra Loma for swimming. Today was perfect not to hot, not to cold, but very crowded.

* I took the kids to the San Jose Tech Museum last week and loved it. Little Buddy loved so much of it. He would walk up to a display actually be able to read it and begin to figure out what to do. Poor Missy was a bit lost, it was loud and a bit above her. I think she had fun but didn't understand much of what she was doing. We also got to watch an IMax movie.

* I'm loving out summer adventures, heading to the park, heading to the pool, and finding new things to discover. Next week we hit a new museum in Lodi. We get ready for Missy's 5th Birthday, and the kids and I organized a little community outreach project for ECMC supporting Sprouts "The Great Tuck-In". Then we top the week of by Camping at Crater Lake .... We hope you're all having a great Summer thus far!!!!

June 23rd 2009

TODAY
June 23rd, 2009

Outside my window... I'm wishing I had a new fence but admiring my beautiful new car instead.

I am thinking... that a fort is in our future this afternoon.

I am thankful for... my hubby's job and the fact that he likes what he does.

I am wearing.. cut off sweats and a tank top, avoiding being hot.... I hate the summer heat.

From the kitchen... I have a fabulously clean floor and a sink full of dishes.

I am creating... my son's 1st grade scrapbook.

I am going.. camping this weekend and I can't wait!!!

I am reading... way to many books at once.... Marked, Above all be kind, Water for Elephants, and a few magazines.

I am hoping... that we are rid of the stomach flu forever.

I am hearing... my son play "operation" with his sister.

Around the house... are signs that I have to adorable kids.

One of my favorite things... is the freedom summer provides. No schedules, no worries, no stresses.

A few plans for the rest of the week... put some more miles on the new car so we are ready to tow on Saturday, Head to the San Jose Tech Museum, Pack for camping.

I'm not sure where this started but I have seen it on a few blogs and thought I would play along ;o) Happy tuesday to ya!!!!

I must add that my son looks adorable right now with a new haircut. First time to a real barber!!! ADORABLE!!!

Tuesday Again & I'm ready with my Ten!!!!

1. I'm thrilled to say we are finally throw-up free. We have a bit of straggling runs but otherwise doing good.

2. Missy got a nasty bladder infection Sunday.... so she is on heavy duty meds.

3. We went to the drive-ins this past weekend much to my dismay and actually had a GREAT time. Although the car died on the freeway on ramp... which left us there till about 2 am. Thanks to our good friends for pulling over and waiting with us we got home safely.

4. Took the kids to story time this morning at the library for an enjoyable book reading morning. Buddy checked out some Thomas books and read like crazy!!!

5. We have been to the park 2x so far this week and it has proved to be a great way to start our summer days.

6. We are slowly getting summer goodies crossed off our "Summer 100" list.

7. Father's Day is this coming weekend so we plan to get crafty this Friday!!

8. Our Anniversary is tomorrow we are celebrating 9 years together with dinner and then "wicked"!!!

9. I still don't have a house sitter for next weekend and I'm starting to stress about it.

10. Mexican lasagna for dinner sounds perfect!!!

June Ten on Tuesday

WOW It has been a yucky week.... and awhile since I posted... two weeks to be exact.

1. We had the WORST stomach flu this past weekend. We thought we were about to die. Luckily Little Miss didn't get it. Buddy brought it home on Thursday night and recover wasn't complete until Sunday Night. We missed Buddy's Peanut Game, Mom's Wiitirement Party, And Buddy's Team party.

2. We are deep into the last week of school for both kids. Pre-school graduation is on Friday and the 2nd graders "fun in the sun" day is tomorrow. This year flew by sooo very fast.

3. I have tried my best to enjoy the last 2 weeks with Missy. Today we did breakfast and the park, last week we ran to visit studio grow. We ahve been getting crafty and creative together, playing games, and having tea parties. This will change shortly.

4. We booked our daughters 5th birthday party at a local gymnastics place. It will be perfect to beat the heat, beat the clean-up, and the stress. She wants the theme to be littlest pet shop... so that will be a fun adventure.

5. Finally we set up our camping... 3 trips this summer, I'm so excited. & I'm working on a 4th for the beginning of September.

6. I joined my mother's knitting group. I wasn't sure if it was something I was totally comfortable with, but then a friend wanted to join so we go together. The ladies are great and I have learned some cool things, as well as made the cutest little sweater dress for Sweet Pea.

7. I'm still addicted to Heroes.. watching it on demand from Netfilx

8. I'm pretty proud of our boy for getting the "magnificent mathematician" award. He was so stressed. He was going to get perfect attendance but missed school friday because of the stomach flu.

9. I'm making a frittata tonight and really hoping it is good.

10. We are going to the drive- in this weekend and I'm very nervous about it... so not the best part of town to have a birthday party!!!!
