Happy Valentines Day

Usually I don't like Valentines Day ....way to commercial...you spend a million dollars on flowers only to have them die early because the whole world is doing the same thing!! Then you try to go to dinner and every body else is too, you pay double the price because you wanna be out on Valentines Day. UGH!!! Well sadly I'm a sucker this year...well wouldn't you be if your hubby was willing to get a baby sitter and hit the town!! I'm very excited to go to dinner it has been since before Christmas that we went out ALONE. The kids will be with sitter for 4 1/2 hours YIPPY!!! What ta do with all that time hummmmmm.....

I did enjoy today at the kiddos schools. We had a big party in the Kinder Class imagine 20 kids strung out on candy & cupcakes exchanging valentines at the same time....total chaos, but oh so fun!!! I have never seen so much junk in one place!! I thought parents were to send healthy snacks....well we got milk with strawberry nesquik in it, pizza, cupcakes, candy, chips (3 kinds) cream cheese & jelly sandwiches, frosted sugar cookies all before NOON. WOW!! Sadly to my son & daughters dismay most of it ended up in the trash!!! I don't want the dental bills. They had a great time even if I spoiled the snacking part of it.
Wishing you all a Happy Valentines Day...now go hug your loved ones!!!

Finally Feeling Great!!!!

Well we survived the weekend all well!!! No more colds here....just a welcome of sunny weather. It is amazing how a bit of good weather brings motivation to clean, clean, clean!!! Well and simply get out and about at the same time!! Hubby didn't get sick this whole time LUCKY him!!!

Let's see we had a quiet weekend that seemed busy. I woke up super grumpy on Sat. Frustrated that I had to go work at our annual preschool fair for ECMC. Which was a wonderful event, and very important. I found us a fabulous location and for FREE. But hubby needed to run into work at the last min. so I didn't go till super late. Then I also should have been hanging out with my friends, scrapbooking, celebrating my girlfriends 1st milestone in her weight-loss adventures. AND I should have taken the kids to a birthday party at 1:30. Gymnastics free who would wanna miss that. But instead I sat at home sulking....I had planned on the preschool fair.....couldn't scrapbook since I had the kids and forgot about the birthday party till 2. So the day was a wash and I was grumpy....not makings of a good day. All was saved when the kids crashed early and I finally got to scrapbooked that night, while hubby played on the computer.

This week is all about getting back to normal, laundry, cleaning, dusting, and of course more laundry. YIPPY to be healthy!!! Gotta love urgent care!!

YUCKY YUCK!!!

Well coming off a great weekend SICK!!! I went up to Chico for my cousin's baby shower!! Which was awesome. Good thing they don't know what they are having, they would have ended up with way too many clothes....they got just about everything they needed. It was also awesome to hang out with friends and family that we rarely, if ever see. It was terrible to venture home in the middle of a storm though, didn't make for a pleasant ride home.

Well the kids got sick this weekend. Bubble Boy had a cold and Sweet Pea got what we think was the flu. She had a huge fever but is totally fine right now. So they are both back to school and I'm working on rest so I can get better. No playgroup for us this week, oh well!!

In other news my little bro made it to Paris!! I'm so excited for him and still can't believe he went. Miah is a quiet, nerdy, know it all, computer geeky type. He will have a blast taking in everything!!! 3 months will go by fast. I wish I could have gone too ....one day!! OK Back to rest!!!

She loves to Dance...for now!

This afternoon I loved watching Sweet Pea dance. She was so happy to be there, trying to do everything so perfect. So very cute!! I started to Dane when I was about 8 years old. I took a Mommy and Me class, there was no way I was gonna do it alone! I was hooked instantly. I Tap danced first then went on to Ballet, later into Theater and finally teaching. I loved every part of it! I hope that she continues to love to dance. I know that she is only 3 and may hate to dance in a few years. Which will be hard for me but fine if that is what she wants. I want her to find something she is passionate about and loves. Dancing was that for me and who knows what it will be for her. Today I was in heaven her smile was from ear to ear. She ran to me so excited showing off her stamp and sticker; pointing her toe and dancing like a princess!

Gingerbread, Yogurt & Cupcake Adventures....

It turned out to be a bit of a rough week...busy that is!! and it is only thursday!! My "GO" faded after tuesday ;o(

Lets see Monday we ran around doing errands and such...a pretty productive day just more than I wanted. Then Tuesday I played the "can't say NO line." I went over to another mom's house and we made 22 Gingerbread Houses for the kids this friday. Talk about crazy. I made 18 of them..I should clarify they were made from graham crackers and frosting, but still 18 of them good god!!
Then Mrs. B also asked if I would bring "GO GO Yogurt" for snack on Wed since it was G week. She had spoken to the yogurt shop prior and made arrangements to get the yogurt donated. Of course that didn't happen, they gave me a discount but sure wasn't a big one...if hubby knew how much he would sooo not be happy. (I will add that once I told a few people they chipped in so I really ended up spending only 20 bucks.)
And to think that wasn't a busy Tuesday I wanted to make cupcakes for Diane's birthday on Wed. Well they turned out really bad (a 1st for me), I couldn't get them out of the pan. Partially since I was lazy and didn't want to drive 30 min. to Michael's for cupcake liners; I greased and flowered the daylights out of the pan hoping it would work but it didn't. Lesson Learned!!

Wed came and I was ready for it, super organized and it went very smoothly I was just pooped by days end.
* I dropped little buddy at school,
* ran to the grocery store for replacement cupcakes,
* ran to playgroup 30 min away,
* ran to target and go the new zyrtec kids chewables (the last 2 boxes too),
* ran and picked up little buddy from school,
* called in lunch, picked up lunch,
* then finally spent 4 hours relaxing at Diane's house....
* came home did the kids baths/homework/dinner
* got sick to my stomach
* scrapbooked & watched Transformers waiting for hubby to get home from work
* craweled into bed at 11:45

Makes me tired just writting about it...Today was very calm and relaxing, I flaked on Playgroup and have scrapbooked and hung with the kids...we are off to Elephant Bar for dinner then bed. I'm hoping for a good weekend!!!

Fab Weekend!!!

This was a great weekend!!

Sat. we took the kids to Lowes so the could build their own tool boxes in a "build and grow" class that is FREE!! They kids loved it & we loved doing it..some fun family time!!!

Then Hubby went to dinner with some friends and had a memorable evening!!! He needs to get out more!! I'm happy he could spread his wings a bit with some healthy male bonding ;o)

Then I had my turn to enjoy some girl time...it was Diane's birthday celebration....shopping-dinner-games-drinks...what more could we ask for!!! we laughed soooo hard it was crazy! I love to hang out with my girls and just talk/laugh mostly.

Here is to a great week ahead of us... Bubble Boy's word of the week is "GO" so very fitting. I'm gonna have a happy GO kinda week....some scrapbooking and a baby shower to look forward to!!!

edit- I totally forgot one of the other most important things we did this weekend was to sign BB up for T-Ball...good-bye Saturdays hello little slugger.

Mac Chick

Well yesterday we moved over to the dark side! We got a MAC...I still can't believe we converted! Years ago in college I only used a Mac. When we got to the point in our relationship "when you buy things together" we got a computer... a Dell laptop. I didn't care what computer we had as long as I could do my homework. Now hubby is in love with mac I think it is funny!! He finally admitted that I liked something correct before him. So here is a toast to my new computer adventures....

Little Wonders..

Poor Sweet Pea has her 1st bladder infection...I think it started yesterday, well started to bother her yesterday. Then this morning it hurt really bad. So two trips later to the Dr. with a cup of PEE, we are home with antibiotics. She did great I must say at the Dr. She was actually kinda cute in the bathroom trying to go. We sang songs and tried to play games to get her mind off the task at hand. Didn't work so we ran home went PEE and went right back.

After words since Sweet Pea had a rough morning and Little Man was so good at the Dr. they got an ICEE to share. I think this is one of my favorite treats to get them. An ICEE isn't just a drink from Target. First I love to get my kids treats and would do it all the time, but then they wouldn't be treats. Two ICEEs are simply yummy to begin with, a great treat winter or summer. Finally I just love to watch them share it, then share the condition of their tongues in true kid fashion....

My last note today is an quote from Sweet Pea...She was singing this song and I couldn't figure out what song it was then in the store it came on....She was singing "those smart flowers" and the line in the song goes "these small hours." Gotta love it

Nothing Exciting to post!!

Today is Tuesday...and my goal is to blog every Tuesday...so here I am blogging ;O).

This weekend was all about the continual purging process...files/junk/clothes etc. Trying to live a simpler life. It was all about planning meals to better us & the kids...If I could just get Sweet Pea to eat something else, heck I would be happy if she tried something else. It was relaxing with Empire Strikes Back and a bit of work thrown in. Hubby took down the Christmas lights outside...so sad!!

Why am I blogging to begin with!!! I sure am a bad speller & I sure have terrible grammar but I don't care...this isn't to prove I can do either of those, it is simply to get stuff out. A way to remember bits and pieces about my kiddos. This is for me! A place I can hold myself "accountable" for my actions. A place to put myself out there so someone can hold me accountable as well. Happy Blogging to me...

Running Around

Yesterday and Today were simply run around/catch-up days...Yesterday we had two dentist apt. Sweet Pea's was 1st thing in the morning, happy to say no cavities. Then Bubble Boy was in the afternoon, again no cavities. Yippee! Both kids perfect teeth that is a reason to sing and dance all by itself! We ran a bunch of errands, played at Mc Donalds, went to preschool, did ALL our homework in one day, and still had time to cuddle on the couch with a good book or two. Bubble Boy and I had a great time doing homework. He had two "science experiments" to complete. The 1st was to figure out what nutritional & bad food we had lurking in the cupboard. The other was a volcano, well vinegar & baking soda in a cup. He was in love with the mess we made and the reaction. When Daddy came home we did that one again with more goodies and more mess...gotta love boys!!

.
Today I screwed up, I thought Sweet Pea started Dance class, but it starts next week!! Big OOPS!! She was devastated!! She wants to dance sooo bad but only as long as I can stay and watch. Finding a studio that allows parents to view is next to impossible. I do understand why, but she won't dance otherwise. So we finally found a place but classes start next week not this week....oops. They let us play in the room for a bit, checking out the mirrors and twirl around for a bit. Then we got an ICEE and all was perfect againI'm off to scrapbook my heart out tonight till the wee hours can't wait!!!

Christmas Blues...

I'm so very sad I put away the last of the Christmas decorations today....so we now have a bare tree waiting to be dis-mantles. It is hard to believe that Christmas comes and goes so fast. It is also hard to believe or understand what that time of year does to us well me as a person. I seems to appreciate and enjoy so much more than the rest of the year. If only I could take that and make it work all year long, but then I guess Christmas time wouldn't be the same. So I will be blue for a day about Christmas but enjoy they rest of Winter with a smile on.

Some Sleeping Asistance please...

Bubble boy was up last night...not as bad as some but-non-the-less up. They both took naps in the car on the way to pick-up dad, which meant they could not get to bed. Some of that is our fault I'm sure! Since BB was 2 Daddy has read Thomas the Tank to him nightly...falling asleep to the low humm of daddy's voice. And Sweet Pea, well if she naps even for 5 min. she is up till 10, no kidding!! Crazy bedtime habits are hard to break. Sometimes Bubble Boy has a few night mares/night terrors too...ya know sitting and simply screaming "NO" at the top of his lungs. Often times simply going potty solves the problem. Most times we need to just sit and wait it out. I feel so bad for him since there is pretty much nothing anyone can do to help him out. When he has an over stimulated evening they are worse. Just another bit of our lives making us who we are.

I'm working on my hundred...

I made a list of 100 things I want to accomplish in my lifetime. Some of it is just stuff I want to get done now and some just this year. I plan to revisit the list every so often then it can change and grow. If I figure out how to add a document to the sidebar I plan to post it. But for now it sits in my journal.

We had a great weekend relaxing and cleaning. Something about the new year makes me want to clean and purge everything...the kids rooms, my files, my scrapbooking junk, the garage, and our clothes. We came up with a bit of stuff to donate and "freecycle"...everyone should look up a freecycle group in their area...that old saying someones trash is an other's treasure.

I also got a hefty amount of scrapbooking done with the girls Saturday night. I did more single pages then I have ever done. Weird for me I like 12x12 double page layouts better. It was great to sit, chat & scrap. When we get the new computer I plan to post my layouts too.

My photo a day is running smoothly so far...Hubby is even getting into it...he took this cute shot of Sweet Pea in the closet yesterday while I was at work. Then Sat night we took some great ones of the fireplace. I love my fireplace. I love the thought of sitting cozy on the couch with a great movie, popcorn, and my family. We watched Star Wars on Friday night up on the wall with the projector. Very Fun Very good family movie night

Happy Family Visit

We spent the last 2 days in Chico visiting with family...my cousins, aunt & uncle, and my grandma (the kids great grandma.) It was a GREAT visit, I love to hangout with them!! We headed up to Mt. Lasson to play in the snow. Bubble Boy dug a HUGE hole for him and Sweet Pea to play in. They rode all over the place on snowmobiles, and tossed a few snowballs here and there. When we got back we crashed with movies and pizza. In the morning my aunt & uncle enjoyed my kids!! I LOVE to watch them interact with my kids...they made pancakes, walked the dog and headed out on a little adventure to the "creek", tossing rocks and getting dirty. The signs of a great day. Afterlunch we poured over a TON of old family photos and learned some interesting family stories.I love just being with family. Just spending time playing games, talking and sharing. I'm so lucky I just wish they lived closer!!

Here is to a day of GO!! I need to clean-up from the snow, and our little trip. Then get ready for school to start Monday!!! So sad that vacation flew by so fast. But first I think I'll pile up the pillows and blankets in front of the window, so we can watch mothernature at her best. A big storm just came in and I love to sit cozy with the kids and the rain. Just enjoying!!!
