Christmas Eve...

I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas Eve.

Little Buddy and I spent the morning baking the best Christmas cookies ever (we did 2 batches..anyone want some sprintz)!!! Then we finally watched Fred Claus....I cried like a baby. The true spirit of Christmas is in children...they really don't care what they open just as long as they open something. Christmas is about being with your family and simply sharing of stories, love, and moments. We let the kids open one present, a HUGE box of books from us. I saved all their bookorder books since September. We sat and read a few and Buddy read one to his Sister. We spent the evening watching Polar Express all cozy on the couch with a fire. After the movie we set up for Santa's arrival. We fed the reindeer their sparkly oats outside, then we read Twas the Night Before Christmas. Once the cookies and milk was ready we headed to bed. It was the perfect evening...the perfect night...the perfect Christmas Eve. Creating those moments that don't seem to last long but will be remembered for a life time. Merry Christmas!!!
